Talas Manileño Barbershop: Ang Tasahan ng mga Gwapo

Talas Manileño Barbershop

“Bagong tasa, ah!”

A filipino tag for men who just got haircut. Tasa meaning sharpened.

It is just so witty that this new barbershop in town was named Talas which means sharp. Making their customers’ hair look neat and stylish.

“Ayan Sir, matalas na!”

According to Sir Nuks, the shop’s frontman, he and his brother had their hair cut every week as an audition to find the best barbers they can hire. No wonder, their barbers seem to work fast, clean, and fine.

Looking handsome with that pompadour! 🙂

Talas Manileño is a concept barbershop, famous for their signature pompadour haircut. Pompadour is a classic, vintage hairstyle popularized by the likes of Elvis Presley and James Dean.

Speaking of vintage, their shop was designed by the famous Budji Layug together with his wife, said Sir Nuks. Antique barber chairs, woods, vinyl record — classic feels all over the place!

Sir Nuks is a very entertaining frontman. He offers lemon water to us, women, who accompany our lads and don’t want a sip of beer nor coffee. He enthusiastically converse with customers that he even shared to us a short story about this venture.

Come visit their store now and have an awesome hairdo!

I constantly spent my half an hour to read this website’s articles or reviews all the time along with a mug of coffee.
